Dunluce Lodge, the newest 5-star luxury resort in Portrush, is looking for a Valet to join our front office team. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the guest experience at one of Northern Ireland’s most anticipated openings. First impressions are everything and you will set the tone for every guest’s stay. With a genuinely warm welcome, you’ll be ready with answers to any questions and happy to offer information about hotel services, facilities and the local area. Anything to help make their visit that bit more special. You will already have experience of working within a hotel environment (ideally 4 or 5 star) and be comfortable working in a fast paced role dealing with people on a daily basis. Your role will involve welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, parking cars, and helping guests settle in, all with a warm, professional approach. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, a friendly demeanor, and a commitment to making each guest’s stay truly special. Key Responsibilities: Guest Welcome: Provide a warm, friendly greeting to all arriving guests, creating a welcoming first impression. Assistance with Luggage: Help guests with their luggage, ensuring it is safely and efficiently transported to their rooms. Valet Parking: Safely and carefully park guest vehicles, ensuring they are secure and easily accessible when needed. Guest Service: Anticipate guest needs and be ready to assist with directions, recommendations, or any other requests. Maintain Standards: Ensure the valet area is kept clean, organized, and well-presented at all times. Team Coordination: Work closely with the front desk and concierge team to ensure seamless service and communication for all guest arrivals and departures. What We’re Looking For: Service-Oriented: A friendly, approachable demeanor with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service. Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail to ensure high standards are maintained. Professional Appearance: Maintain a neat and professional appearance to reflect the Dunluce Lodge brand. Full Clean Driving License: Ability to drive guest vehicles safely and responsibly. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with guests and colleagues. We are busier generally during evenings and weekends but shift patterns and contracted hours can all be discussed at interview.
