Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) Day Services
An exciting development opportunity has arisen within the SACT unit at The Christie at Macclesfield for a permanent band 5 (30 hours). We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, registered nurse with a passion for caring for oncology patients to join our dedicated team in the brand-new Christie at Macclesfield.
On appointment, you would receive a comprehensive supernumerary training package, in which you have exposure to different anti-cancer treatments in various disease group fields and complete the UKONs SACT passport. You will gain experience in treating a variety of patients with potentially curative diseases, alongside palliative and clinical trial treatments. During your supernumerary period, you will spend time at the main Christie hospital Oak Road Treatment Centre. We are an innovative and forward-thinking unit dedicated to reviewing and developing the ways that we work for our patients' needs. We are welcoming to new ideas and look forward to working with nurses who have a genuine passion for caring for patients in this field. We are open Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm and also on Bank Holidays.
If you are interested, please contact Tara Davies, Deputy Service Manager at the Christie at Macclesfield, at 0161 956 1701.
