SL Education's South Yorkshire Branch is seeking enthusiastic people to join our Residential Team as a Residential Support Worker. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with Children aged 5 - 18, with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Emotional Trauma, and Challenging Behaviour.
Residential Support Worker Responsibilities:
* Implement and review individual care plans in collaboration with other professionals, ensuring that each young person's needs are met, and their goals are achieved.
* Maintain open and effective communication with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
* Risk Assess and ensure a safe and secure living environment.
* Ensure all paperwork is correctly filled out e.g. Incident Forms, Medication Administration Records (MARs), Logbooks, Handover sheets and hourly checks are conducted as per the individual home's requirements.
* Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities that promote social skills, personal growth, and community involvement.
* Support and guide young people in managing their emotions and behaviours.
The Essential Requirements for Successful Residential Children's Support Worker:
* At least 1 year of UK experience in a care setting with children.
* A valid DBS on the Update Service.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to engage with residents.
* Relevant qualification in Childcare or Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
