We are actively seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join our fantastic team, within Admissions, Haematology, Hepatology, Clinical which are based at CXH/HH/SMH. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our patients get the best possible pharmaceutical care.
You will be part of a team that provides a high quality, patient focused medicine management service to the wards. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists. Undertake patient consultations, medicines reconciliations and medicines adherence assessments. Deliver teaching on medicines management to a wide range of healthcare professionals and much more.
You will not only be given the opportunity to explore and enhance your pharmaceutical expertise, but you will also be learning and developing your management, training and leadership skills to progress to a higher banding all whilst being supported by our incredible team!

The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (pharmacy technician)
* Accreditation in Medicines Management (AIMM) / Medicines Optimisation Programme (MOP) or equivalent qualification (or willing to undergo accreditation)
* Accuracy checking pharmacy technician (ACPT) or willing to undergo accreditation

Person specification
Education
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
* NVQ level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) and relevant underpinning knowledge (BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science) or equivalent
* Mandatory professional CPD as defined by the GPhC
* ACPT or recognised accredited pharmacy technician checking qualification (or to be achieved within 12 months of commencement)
* Qualified NVQ assessor
* LPE&T pharmacy technician self-development scheme stage 2 or equivalent
Experience
* Post qualification experience of working in a UK hospital; this must include a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy Experience of pharmacy computer systems Experience of audit
* Experience of working as a ward based-technician
* Experience of JAC pharmacy system
* Experience of using electronic prescribing systems e.g. Cerner
* Experience of training others
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
