In this role, you’ll play a critical part in designing, developing, and optimizing HVAC, cooling, and other mechanical systems that are essential to data center operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling, and ventilation for data centers to ensure optimal operational performance. Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, and equipment selection to meet the stringent demands of data center environments. Work closely with electrical, structural, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all building services. Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and manuals. Analyze and troubleshoot issues, implementing improvements to maintain high standards of reliability and efficiency. Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Engage in project management, overseeing installations and testing, and coordinating with contractors and clients to meet timelines and budgets. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, CEng) is a plus. 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within building services, HVAC, or data center environments. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, or similar) and analysis tools (e.g., CFD, FEA). Knowledge of data center cooling technologies, such as chilled water systems, direct/indirect evaporative cooling, and heat rejection systems. Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in building services, particularly related to data centers (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-stakes environments. Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies and sustainability initiatives within data center operations. Experience with project management and the ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and team coordination.
