Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact? We are looking for candidates with experience in Key Stage 1 & 2; however, teachers from secondary backgrounds who are excited to transition into primary SEN are also welcome. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support and empower students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
In this position, you’ll play a vital role in shaping students’ educational journeys by delivering lessons tailored to their unique needs. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will help provide the guidance and support needed for students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, individualized lessons for SEN students.
* Collaborate with the teaching team to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to engage students with varied learning needs.
* Support students’ social and emotional development, fostering positive behavior and communication skills.
* Maintain close communication with parents and caregivers, updating them on progress and involving them in the education process.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
* Demonstrated experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASC.
* Compassionate, positive, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to working with staff and external specialists.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
