The Role & Key Responsibilities
Job Title: Mill Operator
Site Location: Flixborough, North Lincolnshire, UK
Contract and Shift details: This is a permanent position with a 3-week rotating shift pattern over 7 days, including on-call needs.
* Week 1 – Monday – Thursday Days 6am-6pm
* Week 2 – Tuesday PM – Saturday AM 6pm – 6am
* Week 3 – Sunday/Monday 6pm-6am and Friday/Saturday 6am-6pm split shift
The Mill Operator plays a crucial role in supporting the mill operations process, directly contributing to business goals and ensuring feed safety and health standards are maintained.
Main Purpose
Conduct various tasks including raw material intake, bulk out loading, pressing, blending, additives preparation, and hygiene maintenance to maximize efficiency, service, and feed consistency.
Responsibilities
* Weigh and load finished product lorries with the correct feed types, conducting quality checks.
* Maintain required hygiene levels in the mill.
* Weigh raw material vehicles in and out of site, ensuring quality checks and proper routing.
* Prepare and supply hand-tip additions for blending.
* Conduct stock checks and perform press and blending operations when required.
* Undertake swabbing and sampling processes.
About You
* Prior experience in food/agricultural/production environments.
* Experience working with automated plant machinery.
* Feed mill experience (Desirable).
* FLT License (Desirable).

* Shift patterns may vary, so flexibility is necessary.
