2nd/3rd Line IT Engineer
Upto 35K per annum
Opportunity
Support the IT department in maintaining the IT environment by providing proactive maintenance activities and specific business change projects. Support employees to utilise their technology efficiently by providing excellent user support and training. Strong understanding of M is required for this role.
Major duties
1. Responsible for providing technical support to all employees to optimise the application of modern workspace technologies as part of an ITIL based IT Team (Modern workspace technologies includes: Microsoft, Azure, ERP, Veeam Data Platform)
2. Being a superuser of our Applications, understanding them and being able to evaluate training requirements and ensure consistent and efficient user experience.
3. Delivering prioritised solutions with the help of internal and external partners as required.
4. Responsible for ensuring policies, procedures, set-up and documentation are understood and followed, providing training as and when required.
5. Point of escalation for 1st/2nd line Engineer.
6. Monitoring and reporting on key security factors.
7. Leading and managing IT projects; specifically based around Microsoft and ERP systems.
8. Identify opportunities and implementing processes to improve efficiency, security and resilience within the IT infrastructure.
9. Ensuring IT maintenance activities are completed proactively to ensure platforms are safe and secure for users.
10. Strong understanding of IT safety and security procedures.
Required experience, skills & abilities:
11. Experience in 2nd/3rd Line support for hybrid users (helpdesk). (Essential)
12. Extensive understanding and experience implementing Microsoft Enterprise and ERP systems (Essential)
13. Experience adapting to and implementing new applications. (Essential)
14. Experienced in leading and assisting with IT projects. (Essential)
15. Extensive understanding of operating systems and applications we use including: Windows Server & Client OS', VMware ESXi, Veeam Data Platform, ERP. (Essential)
16. Supplier, Vendor & Stakeholder management (Essential)
17. Further Microsoft service knowledge (BI, Intune, Azure) (Desirable)
18. Knowledge of Windows Defender for Endpoint (Desirable)
