EYFS Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about contributing to the start of children’s Primary School experience? You will need to have a good understanding of the development of children to create a positive impact. Hours: Full-time 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: £12.90 - £13.50 Location: Rawtenstall Start: 24 th February 2025 The successful candidate will be working as a general teaching assistant working with the Reception pupils supporting and guiding them where needed. Your responsibilities: Have a calm and nurturing approach so that relationships can be developed. Support children during the transition period so that they are ready for school. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students e.g. Phonics sessions and interventions. Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparations. Support all students, including those with additional needs so that inclusion is promoted. Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture. Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment. Your requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum Relevant experience working with children, within a school setting. Enhanced DBS on the update service. Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
