Excellent career opportunity for an experienced and Level 3 qualified Heavy / HGV Technician, this role offers you the opportunity to maintain a mix of fleet HGVs / Lights and road-going plant.
Location: Nottingham
Qualifications: Applicants must be Level 3 qualified in vehicle repair.
Hours: Monday to Friday - Days - 2 week rotation - no weekend working unless requested by yourself as paid over-time at 1 1/3
1. Week 1: 06:00 to 14:00
2. Week 2: 10:00 to 18:00
Requested over-time is available between 06:00 to 18:00 at your choosing paid at £1 1/3.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 p/annum + outstanding benefits + overtime if required
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently and provide effective solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all machinery and vehicles operate smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on various types of machinery and vehicles.
2. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
3. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other essential components.
4. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
5. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
6. Uphold safety standards while working in the workshop or on-site.
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential.
2. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools is highly desirable.
3. A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or automotive technology is an advantage.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and clients.
