We're working on behalf of a lovely special school that is looking for a TA to support in a KS1 class of students with a range of special needs & disabilities. Mostly the needs of the students are physical disabilities so experience in this area is essential.
This school is going from strength to strength as they look to expand, and there has never been a more exciting time to join them! The school is a fast-paced environment, so all staff members are required to be flexible, proactive, and patient.
The role
The role of TA is mostly just providing general classroom support along with the other 2 TAs in the class, proactively seeking out opportunities to help students in the class.
Due to the needs of the students, ideally, you would have worked in a special school before, but they are open to applicants that come from more of a mainstream background. Also, because of the needs of the students, they are open to applications from support workers with aspirations of having a career within education.
