Job overview
To support patients during radiology examinations, assist imaging assistants, act as a mentor to junior RDAs, and provide a proficient cannulation service. Appropriate training in cannulation will be provided.
Main duties of the job
* Check stock levels as part of the departmental weekly stock checks.
* Communicate with a broad range of patients prior to examination.
* Manage conflicting demands while remaining focused on current tasks.
* Comply with legislative obligations, including Data Protection Act and Health and Safety at Work Act.
* Carry out other duties as requested by senior management.
* Undergo annual performance appraisal and review.
* Present a professional front at all times while on duty.
* Coordinate the arrival and departure of patients to and from relevant departments.
* Assist in the manual handling of patients.
* Admissions and discharges for injection list.
* Cannulation where required.
* Train and mentor junior staff.

Education
* NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
* Level 4+ Qualification
