We are excited to be working with one of our leading MRO Clients on the recruitment of a Base Maintenance Check Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Manchester!
You will be joining a dedicated team completing the following tasks:
1. Delivering allocated maintenance inputs, Projects and company initiatives to schedule
2. Assisting Base Maintenance Management team as required
3. Line management of all staff within their agreed area of responsibility
4. Issue certificates of release to service for the specific aircraft type within the scope of limitations of their QA044 Staff Authorisation Document.
5. Allocation of tasks and responsibility within their work area.
6. Maintain a log of progress against task
7. Provide and deliver daily production briefings
8. Update senior management as required
9. Develop solutions to deliver maintenance to targets within any budget constraints set.
10. Ensure a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenance.
11. Accountable for the technical integrity of all work carried out under their control.
12. Accountable for the conduct and time keeping of all allocated staff whilst employed within their area of responsibility.
13. Maintaining the allocated work area to the highest standards of cleanliness.
14. Ensure that all husbandry and tool audit requirements are carried out and recorded.
15. Carry out formal appraisals of hangar floor staff and advise Head of Base Maintenance on potential for further training and individual development.
16. Responsible for continued H&S 'duty of care' of their team, ensuring all current procedures are followed.
17. Carry out DQS self-audit in line with base maintenance procedures. Allocate audits to staff within their area of responsibility and co-ordinate responses where applicable.
18. Assist with quality audit and support the implementation of robust closure plans.
19. Assist the Head of Base Maintenance with the creation and management of budgets as required.
Requirements:
20. Category B licensed engineers must hold C certification by aircraft type
21. Minimum of 5 years Base Maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer
22. Have a good working knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation
23. Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment
24. Excellent in the following: Communication skills, Management skills and Interpersonal skills
