Teaching Assistant

Pay: £85 - £95/day
An inclusive school in Bromley is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) to join a vibrant team on a contract basis.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
This role requires a blend of strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in the planning and implementation of daily classroom activities
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts.
* Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
* Support the development of students' social skills and behaviour management.
* Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
* Assist with the assessment and documentation of student progress.
* Supervise students during breaks, field trips, and other school activities.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
* Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
* Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
* A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
