An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Brighton, Sussex. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients
* Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
* Provide therapeutic interventions
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including the Early Intervention Team
* Manage complex cases and offer specialist advice
* Contribute to the enhancement of mental health services
* Conduct ward rounds and manage ward jobs
* Review patient cases and provide feedback
* Attend relevant patient meetings when necessary
* Collaborate with the Early Intervention Team to provide integrated care for patients with early signs of mental health issues
* Engage with local and national networks to elevate the profile of our centre
* Ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and effective
Qualifications and Experience:
* MRCPsych
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Completion of Specialty Training (CCT) in Psychiatry
* Experience in Adult Psychiatry
* Section 12 MHA approval is desirable
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
