The Operations division is at the heart of our customers’ experience here at THG. We Manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and cosmetic consumer goods that we then dispatch to our customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose-built, innovative manufacturing and distribution centres.
The Engineering/Facilities team are responsible for maintaining all THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site.
As an Electrician Technician, you will:
* Diagnose and rectify faults of an electrical/ electronic nature, using wiring diagrams, manuals, drawings and test equipment, for all plant, equipment and services.
* Follow electrical/ electronic planned maintenance programs and recondition and repair electrical and electronic components, controls and equipment.
* Initiate and carry out electrical/ electronic modifications to new and existing plant equipment and services.
* Perform facility inspections, report on conditions affecting operations and respond, diagnose and resolve electrical emergencies.
* Comply with all safety procedures and requirements. Manage specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
* Perform other tasks assigned as requested, which may include supporting the Mechanical Technician in carrying out small-scale repairs and preventative maintenance to plumbing, heating and ventilation, hot & cold water mechanical systems, building management systems, and general building repairs.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
* Previous Electrical Experience, Lighting, Wiring, Alarm Systems, and Fire Prevention Systems.
* 18th Edition wiring regulations and working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391). Relevant electrical qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma.
* Knowledge of building regulations and standards, safety regulations, and safety practices. Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
* Ability to read and follow electrical drawings.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to plan, prioritise work and manage your own time.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Good level of computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office packages.
