We have a new role for a Community Centre Caretaker based in Manchester to work on a full time (36.25 hpw (8am – 4pm Monday - Friday) permanent basis paying £22,680.90 per annum with an opportunity to opt into weekend work if this is something you want to do to earn some extra money, but this is voluntary.
The role is Site based/Mobile (may be assigned different blocks periodically) from Stretford, Manchester and you will be covering Trafford Borough and surrounding areas.

You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the centre, ensuring facilities are safe and functional, and supporting events and activities that bring the community together. This role takes ownership for delivering a high-quality Caretaking service for relevant schemes and estates across the company meeting required standards and always working to increase resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities are to deliver cleaning and building safety services, collaborating with the Estate Services, Neighbourhood and Direct Maintenance team to ensure residents can enjoy safe, clean, and welcoming communal spaces. Always ensuring Group values are evidenced whilst delivering a consistent, reliable, repeatable service.

Requirements
Deliver excellent Caretaking services in line with the customer promise whilst always demonstrating company values. Being respectful of difference, promoting inclusivity at all opportunities.
Ensuring a high standard of Caretaking service delivery in line with all SLA’s and effectively meeting all set objectives. Working with colleagues within the service and across departments to provide a high quality, efficient service to customers. Ensuring communal spaces are always free of bulk, issuing TORT notices and following
ICA processes to ensure compliance with fire safety and resident safety.
Work alongside all neighbourhood teams promoting positive relationships that help to problem solve and increase resident satisfaction.
Respond to all enquiries from external stakeholders professionally, ensuring issues are escalated as appropriate, and in a timely manner.
Ensuring that all equipment, tools, and consumables are maximised efficiently to ensure VfM for the customer and business.
Follow all protocols, policies and procedures in place that protect risk to the business and customers. Follow safe systems of work and immediately escalate any concerns or risks to your line manager.Full training and equipment will be provided to ensure safe and effective manual handling practices.

Organisational & Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive, adaptable approach to managing and prioritising multiple tasks while ensuring a high standard of service.
Health & Safety and Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of compliance checks, Health & Safety management, Fire Safety procedures and general maintenance of the community centre.
