Mid and South Essex ICB are looking to attract an enthusiastic clinician wishing to develop their career in Quality and Patient Safety.
Working as part of a dedicated team the candidate will work collaboratively with internal teams and system partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient centered care through monitoring of commissioned learning disability & autism services, ensuring quality, patient safety and experience is embraced and embedded across all functions within the Integrated Care System.
The candidate will have highly developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to gain and maintain credibility across our system partners with the drive and enthusiasm to provide high quality services, demonstrating attention to detail and integrity in complex decision-making delivering positive outcomes for the patients.
This is a highly visible role, excellent communication, computer, and time management skills are required to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and high standard, ensuring the ICB fulfils its local and national obligations.
The candidate will provide clinical knowledge to the ICB and provider organisations on all aspects of LD&A clinical governance.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the learning disabilities & Autism quality, performance, and oversight of services across the mid and south Essex ICB.
This will include the responsibility to interptret and deliver health service policy and strategy, determining priorities and objectives, monitoring process, progress and achievement of priorities in relation to

The candidate will contribute to the strategic direction of the ICB in respect of the systems and processes for Quality Outcomes and the management of clinical governance in line with national policy and local requirements, respond to enquiries and provide professional expert advice on dealing with sensitive and contentious issues linked to learning disabilities & autism practice.
Provide LD&A clinical and nursing representation on behalf of the ICB at multi-agency meetings / forums as designated by the senior nurse mental health, learning disabilities & autism, to ensure that the patient safety and quality agenda is fully incorporated into these forums.
Support the provision of specialist advice to the Director(s) of Nursing, Executive Directors and colleagues on policy development, legislation, and specialist health issues..

ROLE PURPOSE / SUMMARY
The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System will comprise the Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is the statutory body for the NHS, and the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), which is a committee of the ICB, and brings together key health, care, community, and voluntary sector organisations across the area.
The ICS has a bold ambition to deliver improved outcomes for our population through our four Alliances, and we are placing clinical and professional leadership and the voice of our residents at the heart of realizing this ambition.
The Quality Support Nurse Manager will be integral to supporting the delivery of the core purpose of the Nursing and Quality Directorate, to improve outcomes by promoting adherence to clinical policies, procedures and standards thus enabling services to operate in a safe and effective way. The role will contribute towards providing the Integrated Care Board with assurance of providers continuing commitment to a credible and focused quality strategy. The postholder will be expected to promote a culture of professional standards and service delivery that enhances and maximises safe outcomes for all residents through assurance and effective quality systems, and to share improvements and learning. They will contribute towards the management of relationships and the systems dealings with CQC (and other regulators) to help secure positive results from inspections. They will support the delivery and effective oversight of clinical services within their respective portfolios, and provide assurance in relation to safe, effective, evidence based and compassionate care. In addition to influencing, coaching and challenging areas of concern thus ensuring high standards of care are achieved for our local population.
