We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant for a part-time, interim position to join a growing business on the outskirts of Wakefield. This role is ideal for a seasoned accountant with a strong background in statutory accounts preparation, who is looking for flexible hours and an opportunity to make an immediate impact. You will work closely with the finance team, supporting key financial activities and ensuring accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of statutory accounts
2. Support with year-end audit process and statutory reporting
3. Balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis
4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
5. Managing VAT returns and compliance
6. Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls
Key Requirements:
1. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
2. Proven experience in statutory accounts preparation
3. Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK accounting standards
4. Prior experience in an interim or project-based role is a plus
