In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing security changes across diverse business areas, technologies, and platforms, while delivering Security Solutions Consultancy services. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, cost-effective solutions that mitigate risks and minimize rework. Identify opportunities to enhance CSO capabilities, provide security guidance to stakeholders, and support projects throughout the system development lifecycle to address and articulate information security risks. To be successful as a Senior Security Consultant, you will need the following: Strong technical expertise in cyber domains like cryptography, application security, and IT networks. Knowledge of information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/2, NIST, PCI DSS) and their practical application. Relevant security qualifications. A solid understanding of security solutions from people, process, and technology perspectives, including controls, technologies, and assessment methods. Excellent relationship, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with agility in decision-making and the ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic environments. An understanding of application design and architecture principles. Some other highly valued skills may include: Experience in a consultancy practice, with exposure to diverse projects and clients. Knowledge of security control integration best practices. Familiarity with core development methodologies and technologies. Strong writing, networking, and independent leadership abilities. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), DevOps pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). An application engineering background is a significant advantage. Purpose of the role To enable 'secure by design', supporting the bank's change programmes, design and implement a secure systems and architecture across a broad set of security domains. These include data security, security risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering (incl. cloud security), communications and networks, security operations, software development, security assurance testing, identity and access management (IAM). Accountabilities Act as a n information security authority to business and technology clients. Influence the information security roadmaps and solutions for products, channels, programmes and projects. Proactive delivery of an assignment including initiating contact with the Client, analysis of client objectives, identification of information security responses and requirements, taking responsibility for assignment planning, delivery management, through to gaining user acceptance and sign-off for CSO outputs. Ensure the end-to-end information security integrity and quality of solutions and product releases. Own the delivery of Security Solutions services to customers, providing timely output to stakeholders. Undertake and facilitate information and information security assessments/workshops for solutions during various development phases to ensure security weaknesses are identified and correctly managed, proposing solutions as required. Work with stakeholders to ensure residual risks are adequately mitigated to the degree that meets the risk appetite of the business. Timely and accurate recording of client interaction using appropriate systems. Support for the wider delivery and success of Security Solutions Consultancy services.
