Job Title: Administrator / Junior Paraplanner

Location: Abergavenny, UK (Hybrid Working Available)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional looking to develop your career in financial services? We are a growing and forward-thinking financial advice firm based in Abergavenny, and we are looking for a dedicated Administrator / Junior Paraplanner to join our team.

About the Role

As an Administrator / Junior Paraplanner, you will play a vital role in supporting the Director and Paraplanning team to provide positive outcomes for our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure a seamless client journey.
2. Liaising with clients and providers to obtain all necessary financial information.
3. Assisting in the preparation of suitability reports in collaboration with Paraplanners.
4. Managing client correspondence with the highest level of accuracy and in compliance with company policies.
5. Supporting retirement planning, investments, tax, and estate planning processes.
6. Handling business processing, annual reviews, and other administrative duties including back-office administration.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

1. A minimum of two years of experience in a financial planning administration role.
2. Technical knowledge of pensions and investments.
3. Progress towards professional financial qualifications (support for further studies provided).
4. Strong IT skills, preferably with experience in the use of Xplan, Defaqto, and Excel.
5. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
