SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, servicing over 55 million investors. Continually investing in global technology and services across distribution channels including Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and large financial institutions such as Banks and Insurers. Investor servicing is offered in many different countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. SS&C also services mutual fund structures in many other fund domiciles.
We are currently looking to hire a Data Reconciliation Specialist to support us with verifying data accuracy and data consistency during a data migration. Our data migration team covers the end-to-end process for migrating data from the analysis through coding and transformation to loading and reconciling. They are critical in supporting the SS&C business with onboarding new clients across all streams (Funds, Wealth & insurance), dealing with teams across the globe, with direct contact with the management company, and supporting existing clients where needed.
In this role, you would identify key challenges concerning reconciling data and contribute to best practices so that the team has the confidence to take new systems live and ensure all data has been migrated from the source system accurately and correctly.
Your Responsibilities
In this role you can expect to have the following responsibilities:
• Reconcile data migrated from legacy platforms to target platforms
• Understand and interpret data mapping requirements to create independent reconciliation queries
• Create reconciliation reports and demonstrate output to both internal and external stakeholders
• Analyse business requests and streamline processes using existing or new templates
• Take part in workshops, document outcomes, and support the internal data migration team
• Support in analysing defects and performing root cause analysis
• Support developers and testers
Your experience
• Good SQL querying skills
• Ability to write technical documentation
• Prior experience as a Data Reconciliation Specialist or similar technical role in the financial services industry
• Demonstrable project experience in understanding and interpreting data mapping requirements
• Client-facing experience and ability to explain reconciliation reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and experience in workshop facilitation
