Residential Support Worker (Shift Leader)
Salary: £27,200 per annum pro-rata (depending on qualifications and experience)
Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part Time – 32 hours a week.

Our Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. How you'll help to create brighter futures
We are now seeking a Residential Support Worker to help us maintain the high standards of care and personal development our young people have come to expect. You will instil your compassion and ambition in everything you do, always with our young people at the front of mind. You will support by:
* Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk.
* Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
* Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.
* Lead shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service.
* Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures.
* Lead by example with the application of Action for Children's policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements.
Let's talk about you as a Residential Support Worker
Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:
* Experience of leading Shifts in a Care setting.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent).
* Experience and training in safeguarding.
* An innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
* Experience of developing tailored care plans.
* The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community.
* Driving licence as the job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job as well as the potential element of driving a minibus, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
