Job Description
Contracts Management Excellence Manager - Services delivers projects to develop our contract management function. They create tools, processes and reporting methodologies, design and simply service contract offerings whilst developing new solutions, enable new service contracts to be won whilst meeting company objectives, track and drive achievement of contract business cases over lifecycle, optimise pricing and contract renewals, capture of opportunities to grow margin and revenue whilst ensuring risk is managed. They will develop, communicate and drive requirements, training, business planning and contract performance reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Build relationships with stakeholders
* Develop a detailed understanding of the portfolio of service contracts and performance against the business case
* Track risk and opportunity across the portfolio of contracts
* Develop methods to identify proactively capture additional revenue
* Drive continuous profit improvement and cost optimisation projects
* Ensure appropriate contractual requirements flow down mechanisms are deployed with the business
* Monitor, analyse, report and action contract performance metrics, contract risks and penalties
* Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders
* Draft and implement tools, processes and templates including precedent contracts
* Develop cross functional training and share best practice
* Lead or input to the design and development of new service contracts offerings and standardisation of service tiers
* Manage service contract revenue and profit forecasting, demand planning and contract related data
* Support specific commercial and contracts projects with customers as identified
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
* Commercial management of £m business
* Optimisation of significant £m contracts for service, delivery of margin and revenue improvements
* Drafting business proposals, contract amendments
* Contract negotiation
* Financial and commercial acumen, cost management
* Influencing and leading people outside of direct reporting relationships in a matrix structure
* Engineered products with a significant aftermarket and service business
* Development of contracting tools and processes
* Exceptional business and analytical skills
* Contract and proposal drafting, basic understanding of contract law
* Change management and business improvement
* Project and Programme Management
* Self-motivated and results-driven
* Problem-solving skills and leading teams to deliver solutions
* Able to make effective, timely decisions by sourcing and analysing critical information.
