We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, which will involve creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans and keeping accurate records of support planning. Additionally, the role includes ensuring the service user is offered opportunities, experiences, and care as outlined in their care plan. The candidate will also promote access to opportunities in local communities, enabling service users to continue living meaningful lives.
We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people, including respite services, STAR units, and day services.

The Person
1. Provide care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
2. Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to support effective planning and delivery of care and support.
3. Work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
4. Must have or be able to work towards the required qualification as mandated by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Upon achieving the qualification, it is the individual's responsibility to inform the SSSC.
5. To achieve registration with SSSC within six months of starting the role, you must apply for registration within three months of your start date. To maintain registration, you must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role, complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL), and submit an annual declaration via MySSSC. The benchmark qualification for this role includes an SVQ Level 3.
6. If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be granted conditionally, requiring you to achieve the qualification within the timeframe defined by SSSC.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
