Management Accountant
£35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Alcester - Hybrid - 2/3 days in the office
Our client is the largest privately-owned mortgage network in the UK. Their goal is to continue to be the best home for mortgage advisers, protection specialists, equity release experts and general insurance professionals, whatever their size or location.
The Role
To assist the Finance Department in providing financial support to all areas of the business.
Key Tasks
Working with other Finance staff to prepare monthly management accounts.
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
Monthly variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
Rolling weekly cash flow forecasts.
Assisting with payroll and expenses preparation and payment.
Authorising purchase ledger and other ad hoc payments.
Assist Group Financial Controller as required.
The ideal candidate
Experience of preparing management accounts.
Understanding of accruals and prepayments.
Knowledge of systems of controls and able to follow clearly defined procedures.
Experience of working under pressure, prioritising and working to tight deadlines
Ability to demonstrate a suitable level of industry knowledge and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyse information.
Good team player, but with a definite ability to work under own initiative.
High competency in Microsoft application, including Excel.
Experience of Sage 50 and Sage 200 advantageous
Highly self-motivated and with strong personal discipline to meet key objectives.
