About the role We are looking for a teacher experienced in IT, Media, Computer Science and/or Enterprise and who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering students in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world. You would be responsible for ensuring all schemes of work and individual lessons are appropriate to the needs, abilities, interests, experience and existing knowledge of pupils in accordance with departmental schemes of work and examination requirements. We also need our next Media Technology Teacher to ensure the teaching of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupils’ achievement and attainment. Who we are looking for The ideal candidate would have the following attributes/qualifications: Evidence of recent CPD/ In-service training. Excellent subject knowledge. Ability to lead the teaching of Media / Technology across the school age range (11-16). Ability to set high standards in the classroom for themselves and others. Ability to deploy Learning Support Assistants effectively. Evidence of sound IT skills and its application in teaching and learning in Media / Technology. Requirement: Degree in relevant subject PGCE or equivalent QTS (Fully qualified Teachers only - not suitable for ECTs ) Written examples of knowledge/experiences relating to the job description About Us The Holden School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 5 to 16, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs in Lancashire, Manchester and surrounding areas.
