Moorfield School is a successful, independent, co-educational IAPS prep school with pupils from Nursery to Year 6, situated at in the beautiful town of Ilkley with enviable views across the Wharfe Valley. Founded in 1930, Moorfield moved to its present site in 1960. Careful investment by the Governors over many decades has resulted in an impressive building and grounds. Our most recent ISI inspection in October 2024 found this school to be fully compliant meeting and surpassing the required standards in all areas with resounding success. Our child-led approach to our youngest pupils has a ringing endorsement from professional external moderators. All Year 6 children proceed confidently to their first choice of senior school.
Moorfield School is an exciting place to work. The loyal and dedicated staff is well supported by a proactive Governing Body. The Governors are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Finance Manager/Bursar to help support the school through the next stage of its development.
