ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will be responsible for:
1. Plant Operations:
2. Overseeing the Plant operations functions viz. Production, Quality Management, Plant Administration, Health Safety & Environment and Statutory aspects.
3. Planning and scheduling production activities and achieving the set target in the given time frame.
4. Maintaining the cost leadership.
5. Setting production line and proposing floor layout for positioning different machineries and tools for the manufacturing plant as per industrial safety and ISO requirement.
6. Collaborating with functional departments for implementing all continuous improvement activities (Kaizen).
7. Mapping / Planning and scheduling production as per order flow, priorities, trends, capacity scenario, material availability, dispatch plan, timeline of various orders, man power availability, machine maintenance schedules, and documentation.
8. Preparing Annual Production budget and adhering to the same.
9. Planning modification, shifting of machineries and material as per the product requirement in advance.
10. Preparing various process layouts and flow charts as per the requirement with time & cost optimization.
11. Scheduling maintenance program as per the proposed production plan.
12. Taking care of all day-to-day operations in the plant from production and manufacturing to policies, procedures, health & safety, manufacturing quality and productivity.
13. Allocating resources effectively and utilizing them for optimal usage.
14. Monitoring engineering team and technical aspects for root cause analysis and to plan corrective actions in minimum time frame.
15. Collecting and analyzing data for optimizing cost, time, and resources.
16. Creating all documentation protocols and ensuring that all records are getting updated on real-time basis and readily available for review.
17. Preparing, maintaining and analyzing MIS reports.
18. Reviewing with Management as per agreed schedule.
19. Implementing HIRA and EHS aspects at every level of work possible in the working premises.
20. People Management:
21. Implementing training programs to train employees as per requirement continuously.
22. Establishing strategies and best practices for work force to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
23. Providing leadership, coaching, mentoring to the work force and various departments.
24. Addressing employee issues & grievances and administering collective bargaining agreements.
25. Inventory Management:
26. Ensuring inventory levels as per production plan and policies.
27. Material stocking projection as per the demand.
28. Monitoring non movable, slow movable, fast movable material and optimizing the space and time.
Stakeholder Management:
1. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external clients.
2. Coordinating with product team, management, engineering, service and other departments for streamlining all manufacturing processes and environment.
3. Communicating with stakeholders about new technologies and manufacturing processes to maximize productivity and for achieving targets in minimum time.
Health, Safety & Environment:
1. Providing a workplace that is free from serious safety and health hazards.
2. Monitoring the workplace to ensure employees follow safety in manufacturing.
3. Ensuring implementation of health and safety strategy formulated by him in accordance with the type of business.
Statutory Compliances:
1. To ensure compliance as per statutory norms required for the Factory operations.
2. To liaise with Government bodies, Statutory bodies for timely compliance, permits and approval.
