What you'll be doing work with the Senior management and operational teams to ensure UK law, HSE best practices and the Van Elle policies and Procedures are implemented Instil and manage the health, safety and environmental processes, including risk assessments, method statements, internal audits and induction training Advise site management and operatives on day-to-day health & safety matters Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned Attend and chair safety meetings with senior managers Assist the divisions from the pre-construction stage of a project to mitigate risk and assist with all legislative compliance for all contracts undertaken Ensure workplace health, safety and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety through risk assessments, inspections Who we're looking for Valid CSCS,NEBOSH National General Certificate and / or NEBOSH Construction Certificate Personal track safety (PTS) - Desirable Temporary works experience - Desirable PUWER Trained - Desirable Understanding of Facility management requirements – Desirable CertIOSH or willing to work towards Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of safety systems with a keen eye for detail. Team player, capable of making a positive contribution to the company. Strong IT skills, with experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effectively managing your own priorities and meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment. Passionate about the Health & Safety Profession. Be committed and enthusiastic about promoting High Standards. Confident, self-managing, able to work on own initiative. Strong Communication Skills. Similar background Strong Attention to detail Confident enough to challenge unsatisfactory conditions or breaches. Other Requirements: Eligible to work and live in the UK. Flexibility to travel in the UK, mainly travel around the south of England and London. A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK.
