**About the Role:**
You will work on a night shift basis in a children's home within South Powys. The home supports four children/young people aged 5-18 with behaviours associated with a learning disability, complex needs and autism. Your primary goal will be to create a safe, healthy, learning and fulfilled environment where children have their voices heard to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.
**About You:**

* You will need to enjoy participating and sharing activities, interests, and life skills with the children.
* You must be able to listen to children and young people with dignity and respect.
* You will work effectively in a small team that is reflective, resourceful, contributing to a culture of trust and open responsibility.
* You will understand the importance of providing professional specialist support to provide a safe and effective service, delivered in a way that is sensitive to the needs of children and young people.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* You will work on a night shift rota to provide continuous care as part of the team to the children and young people living in the home.
* You will build positive relationships through nurturing, teaching connection before correction with a patient and calm manner.
* You will promote healthy and safe routines by creating a warm, inclusive home supporting the day care team through continuity and structure within the home at the start and end of each day.
* Work in partnership with families and carers of young people in achieving the aims and objectives of the young people's plans.
* You will follow agreed policies, procedures, and legislative standards in your work. Always striving to keep up to date with best practice.
