We are committed to investing in our people and support our team to access development opportunities What you’ll do: Support our members ensuring that their treatment pathway is evidence based, in line with best practice and their Bupa policy. Identify and support our most complex cases through liaison with both members and Bupa recognised providers. Proactively guide customers and provide knowledgeable and efficient front-line service, including signposting our members to eligible services through their policy. Respond professionally to telephone calls and other forms of communication from internal and external contacts, within designated time scales. Be empowered to use your initiative to resolve queries using escalation processes as required. Proactively support colleagues through sharing information and knowledge. Use a range of systems available to you and ensure information is appropriately documented. Contribute to the good governance of the Clinical Services including accessing supervision and training. Use high quality communication skills adapted to meet the needs of each interaction with members, providers, and other key stakeholders. Working for Bupa UK Insurance you will manage complex MSK cases remotely, in line with relevant evidence-based practice, care pathways, guidelines, protocols, and professional codes of conduct. You will be required to screen patients who are using their insurance policy for MSK treatment, for clinical red flags, serious and other underlying pathologies and work within the Specialist Patient Support team providing musculoskeletal clinical case management services, dealing with Bupa members and healthcare professionals. You’ll help us make health happen by: Independently triaging referrals using advanced clinical reasoning, knowledge and expertise directing to the most appropriate service or professional. Making clinically reasoned decisions regarding members’ pathway of care Undertake extended MSK assessment of patients remotely via telephone or video call, with a wide range of MSK conditions, including those who may have complex, acute and chronic presentations Identifying appropriate cases from reports, triage calls and inter-team referrals within the business. Maintaining accurate clinical documentation as per HCPC and CSP requirements/ standards. Use outcome measures to evaluate member outcomes and facilitate service evaluation. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy HCPC registered Evidence of post graduate study in MSK / Orthopaedics / Pain management. Experience of orthopaedic screening and triage services. Knowledge of wide range of approaches to the management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal disorders. Sound clinical reasoning skills, able to work independently, think analytically and use a problem-solving approach Experience of working as a band 6/equivalent musculoskeletal physiotherapist (minimum 5 years). Ability to work independently within scope of practice and role requirements Professional role model in line with HCPC code of practice Ability to deal calmly and professionally in manging complex and challenging conversations Resilience with an ability to work under pressure, at pace and manage competing priorities Excellent communication skills, including both telephone, video consultation and Letter/Email writing skills, and the ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.
