Role Overview:
The focus of the Team Lead is to oversee the team of Executives and Senior Executives, providing leadership, issue resolution, support and training where needed. The Team Lead(s) will ensure all team members have the necessary knowledge and ability to be successful within their roles. Through careful coaching, support and resource planning, the Team Lead will enable the accomplishment of departmental goals. The Team Lead will focus on quality of output, ensuring that team members are able and equipped to deliver high quality work, working closely with the PMs to develop achievable work plans.
Responsibilities:
* Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
* Conduct quarterly reviews for team members
* Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
* Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback
* Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed
* Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the account
* Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the department efficiently and effectively
* Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals
* Ensure that consistent processes are adhered to, whilst proactively refining and optimizing
* Communicate regularly with other managers, and other designated contacts within the Agency
Person Specification
Experience/Skills:
* Excellent understanding of agency processes and experience working within an advertising agency setting
* Approachable, outgoing and diplomatic - must have excellent emotional intelligence
* Comfortable building strong connections within the agency and at JLR
* Able to quickly build strong relationships with broad range of stakeholders
* Able to present ideas with conviction
* A clear and confident communicator, in person and writing - with fluent oral and written Business English
* A strong sense of urgency and appreciation of the commercial context
* A thorough understanding of configurator process and best practice
* Must have experience on JLR configurators Previous experience of leading a team beneficial, but not essential
