* Significantly influence, collaborate and coordinate ME activities creating the future legacy for Ship-Building on the Clyde and in our customer facilities
* Define & Approve Facilities, Equipment, Tooling and Processes, where appropriate, confirm and approve team member work
* Understand and Influence Product Design to define optimised products to meet operational capabilities
* Create and improve production methods. Engineering outputs, NC programs and general continuous improvement activities
* Create and support benefit cases for funded improvement and manages the facility investment project from concept to commissioning
Previous experience in either Process / Method Planning, NC Programming, Tool Definition, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing System Implementations or Facility Investment activities
* Experience of understanding and interpreting requirements, specifications and engineering outputs
* Knowledge of the analysis of problems into root causes rather than symptoms using recognised techniques
* Project and task management skills in coordinating and delivering successful activities
* Design for Manufacture
Desirable:
* HNC / HND / Degree in Engineering or related field coupled with applying this in an ME Environment
* Understanding Lean Principles and appropriate selection
