NPI Project Engineer
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: Office hours are 7:30 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 7:00 – 13:00 Friday
Salary: £40 – 45k
We are seeking an experienced NPI Project Engineer for a well-established company known for providing precision components and engineering solutions across various sectors, including aerospace, oil and gas, and construction. This engineering-led role will oversee the introduction of new products from initial contract review through to the manufacturing stage.
Key Responsibilities of an NPI Project Engineer:
1. Develop and manage an accurate, achievable project plan to monitor and track the progress of New Product Introduction.
2. Schedule and manage all associated processes in a timely manner.
Key Skills of an NPI Project Engineer:
1. Experience managing NPI development teams, achieving strong RFT and OTIF metrics.
2. Ensure compliance with contracts and relevant statutory requirements.
3. Oversee components, assemblies, and projects through pre- and post-manufacturing processes.
4. Coordinate with teams to agree on manufacturing methods and timeframes for 3D CAD, work holding, tooling, programming, and quality standards.
5. Monitor all parts through engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
6. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Project).
7. Extensive knowledge of CNC manufacturing methods.
8. Strong understanding of materials, processes, and treatments.
