Garden Centre Focused Flexibility / Remote Progression
Are you a talented General Practice Surveyor with experience in the garden centre sector? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join an expanding team. Main Purpose of Job:
1. Conducting property surveys and valuations with a particular focus on garden centres.
2. Providing expert advice and guidance on property management, development, and investment opportunities.
3. Managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring optimal performance and value.
4. Engaging with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored property solutions.
5. Supporting the growth and development of our property services division.
Position in Organization:
This role reports to the Regional Surveying Manager and involves close collaboration with other team members and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed surveys and valuations of garden centres and other commercial properties.
2. Prepare comprehensive reports and specifications of works.
3. Advise clients on property acquisitions, disposals, and development projects.
4. Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, and property negotiations.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
7. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the garden centre sector.
8. Provide mentorship and support to junior surveyors and team members.
Areas of Responsibility/Accountability:
Responsible for the management and performance of a portfolio of garden centres and other commercial properties. Accountable for meeting financial targets and delivering high-quality services to clients. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.

Qualifications:
1. Degree in Surveying or a related field.
2. Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent professional body.
3. Extensive experience in general practice surveying with a focus on garden centres or similar properties.
Experience:
1. Proven track record in conducting property surveys and valuations.
2. Experience managing commercial properties, particularly garden centres.
3. Strong understanding of property legislation and regulatory requirements.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
6. Proficiency in relevant IT tools and software.
Technical Skills:
1. Expertise in property valuation and surveying techniques.
2. Knowledge of building structures, materials, and maintenance requirements.
3. Ability to prepare detailed reports and documentation.
4. Strong project management and delivery skills.
