Teaching Personnel is working with a vibrant secondary school in Glossop to find a motivated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team in January 2024. About the Role: Start Date: January 2024 Contract: Flexible options available (full-time or part-time) Pay Rate: £85–£110 per day (dependent on experience) Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher across a variety of subjects and year groups. Maintain a structured and engaging learning environment, ensuring students stay focused and on task. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using strategies that align with the school's policies. Address student questions and provide guidance on set tasks to support their understanding. Supervise and support students during unstructured times such as lunch or break, as required. Record and report attendance, engagement, and behaviour to teaching staff after lessons. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or other roles involving the supervision of young people. Confidence in managing classroom dynamics and creating a positive learning environment. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students and staff. Adaptability to teach various subjects and work with different year groups. A proactive, professional approach with a commitment to upholding the school’s values and high standards of learning.
