Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join our team responsible for Children's Services. We are looking for a motivated and inspirational experienced nurse to be our Head of Nursing. Our Children's service is integrated ensuring that children, young people and their families have holistic care. Our team is responsible for Acute & Community Paediatrics, Neonates, Community and Inpatient CAMHS, Disabilities, Community Children's Nursing, Health Visiting, School Nursing and Children Looked After. In addition to the locality responsibilities the post holder will be responsible for the Sub-Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and the Clinical Network Manager, Children's Continuing Care and thematic lead for Children Looked After and End of Life Care. We have a strong focus on prevention and early intervention with the majority of care to children, young people and their families provided in the community, whilst supporting the delivery of care in the acute setting for Paediatrics, Neonates and CAMHS Tier 4 inpatients. We are looking for a well organised, efficient manager with significant experience in children's nursing and in collaboration with key stakeholders. Someone who can lead a team of people and work in partnership with our clinical leaders, Local Authority and Voluntary sector partners, delivering the services they have prioritised. Main duties of the job The Head of Nursing for Children's Services will have significant responsibility across the service and will be accountable for the strategic, operational and budgetary management of several teams that cross community and secondary care and have a direct impact on the patient and carer experience.
