This opportunity has been created within the technical management team of a successful main contractor which specialises in affordable housing development in partnership with local authorities and housing associations across London.
They have a proven track record of developing their staff and promoting from within, making this an exciting opportunity for someone looking to move from a trainee role into a defined pathway within technical/design management.
This role will be based near Weybridge.
Job Description
1. Assist in the coordination of construction projects from post-contract award to completion.
2. Work closely with Technical Managers to ensure design information deadlines are met.
3. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
4. Coordinate with 3rd parties on planning conditions, statutory compliance, warranty approvals, etc.
5. Oversee quality, snagging, and accurate handover as necessary.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Coordinator should have:
1. A degree in Construction Management, Property, Architecture/Engineering, or a related field.
2. Some experience working within the construction industry, ideally in a coordination focused type of position.
3. Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
7. A proactive approach and an eagerness to learn.
