Finance Business Partner
RPS has an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner for one of our divisional areas. This role is ideally suited to a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA finance professional with strong commercial drive and several years of progressive financial experience under their belt.
About The Role:
As a Finance Business Partner you will business partner closely with the Finance team as well as senior management in the division, you will ensure that the financial health of the division is maintained.
You will also assist to drive the performance of the business unit delivering the financial targets including growth, profit, cash, budgets and resource utilisation; making recommendations for improvement and remedial action, whilst ensuring compliance across the business unit with RPS Group financial and commercial policies and standards.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Ensure the preparation of monthly accounts to ensure projects are accurately reported
2. Production and 1st level review of the Divisional management accounts
3. Analyse costs, fees, project margins and the division’s performance compared to business targets
4. Obtain robust explanations for any significant trends/variations to target or forecast for each business unit
5. Provide financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff (including attendance at monthly management meetings) while recommending further courses of action
6. Perform monthly accrued revenue and debtor reviews with individual offices based upon a risk focused rotation plan
7. Aid in the forecasting of the division’s finances
8. Assist Divisional FD in preparation of annual target models
9. Assist Divisional FD in ensuring that the division complies with the regulatory framework. (External audit, Intermediaries reporting, PAYE/PSA compliance, VAT compliance)
10. Assist local offices to resolve issues/queries on operation of RPS Systems. TetraLinx (Oracle Based System)
11. Lead on training in the offices to enhance the knowledge of the Operational directors, Project managers and business support staff
Skills:
12. Management Accountant Experience
13. Finance Manager Experience (preferable)
14. Good technical knowledge including UK GAAP and IFRS
Education:
15. Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
