We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the Finance team on a fixed term basis for 15 months, based in our Darlington office (hybrid working).

The role
This role will support the production of Accounting Operations and Tax activities with a specific focus on defined process streams. This role will be responsible for inputs into the sub-ledger and general ledger close process within a robust financial controls framework. Key to delivery in this role will be working closely with teams within Finance.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The person
The successful candidate will ideally have some experience within Finance or will have a clear passion to develop a career within this field. You will have the ability to identify areas of improvement across the processes and systems in your direct control. Within this role you will be responsible for completing key operational tasks including: preparing balance sheet reconciliations, delivering Accounting Operations’ transactions and responding to transaction queries; therefore, organisational skills and the ability to adapt and replan to competing priorities is key.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Taking ownership and responsibility for identified issues and discrepancies and ensuring they reach resolution is a must.
