Our client is a large healthcare organisation who are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to work closely with colleagues across their expanding estates and facilities department. This person will be responsible for providing specific and expert advice and promoting a positive health and safety culture. This is an office based role based in Keighley, Bradford and offers a salary of around £41,200.
Role responsibilities;
* To lead and promote a positive Health & Safety Culture and the implementation and ongoing management of the organisational health and safety management system in line with HSG 65 and supporting guidance.
* To provide expert advice on matters relating to the Construction Design and Management Regulations
* Manage issues identified from property and service risk assessments, and co-ordinate to completion with delegated leads.
* Lead the preparation of local policies, procedures and safe systems of work within the framework of company policies to facilitate achievement of internal targets and controls.
* To assure compliance with COSHH regulations
* Develop and deliver training and induction programmes relating to health and safety as required locally to staff.
Ideal Candidate requirements;
1. 3 years+ proven experience in a similar H&S role
