Job Role: CAMHS Practitioner/Social Worker/Community Nurse
Location: Telford or Shrewsbury
Working Period: Full-time
Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00
Assignment Period: 3 months (12 weeks)
About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with mental health challenges? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CAMHS Practitioner/Social Worker/Community Nurse to join our BeeU Core Mental Health Team in Telford or Shrewsbury.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct initial assessments for young people referred to the BeeU service.
2. Provide specialist care planning and interventions in collaboration with service users, carers, and multiagency professionals.
3. Hold a caseload, delivering person-centred, evidence-based treatments.
4. Develop and implement risk assessments and management plans.
5. Contribute to clinical service development and health promotion activities.
6. Maintain accurate records and input data into clinical systems.
7. Offer supervision, training, and mentorship to junior staff and students.
What We Are Looking For:
1. A Registered Mental Health Professional on the NMC or HCPC Register.
2. At least one year of post-registration experience, with evidence of formal training at diploma/degree level.
3. Experience with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
4. Ability to work autonomously in a community setting, making informed clinical decisions.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with service users, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
6. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
