Main Duties of the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rotational Deputy Clinical Lead to work between the Complex Care at Home Team and within a patient's own home in an established bespoke package of care. The successful individual will be expected to deliver high-quality person-centred care in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding, leading by example and being a role model to the wider nursing workforce.
Main duties include supporting and leading a team caring for individuals with complex needs in their own homes and developing your leadership role within an established nursing team. An important part of the role would be as a mentor for a team of highly skilled HCSW and supporting their clinical competencies.
Ideally, applicants will have prior experience of caring for ventilated patients or have a background in ITU, bridging the gap between acute and community nursing. However, you would be fully supported to develop a wide range of clinical skills including tracheostomy care, PEG management, and advanced communication skills.
The post offers the ability to work within patients' homes, day services, and external sites, delivering holistic care to patients and their families. Our service is unique with the variety of clinical conditions we care for, providing further opportunities for professional development. The service is driven towards succession planning and there are a variety of training and development opportunities available with a period of preceptorship.
