We’re looking for a Stock Controller who’s ready to jump into the heart of my client’s operational team and help drive performance through precision, organization, and problem-solving.
The Role at a Glance:
This isn’t just another admin job. You’ll be the one keeping the wheels turning smoothly by managing the stock inventory and ensuring that everything is in its place, right down to the last unit. You’ll be maintaining the SAP system with sharp precision, handling all things compliance, and producing timely and accurate reports to help the team make informed decisions. Alongside stock control, you’ll also play a key role in identifying and managing material shortages before they become roadblocks.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update SAP with clean, accurate data and generate reports to keep things on track.
2. Oversee document control, ensuring all inbound and outbound stock is compliant.
3. Manage site stock inventory and conduct planned stock takes.
4. Perform regular cyclic stock checks and help to minimize or eliminate obsolete stock.
5. Be the go-to person at daily operations meetings to share insights on warehouse performance.
6. Flag any potential material shortages and get ahead of supply issues with clear communication.
7. Support the operations team as needed to keep everything running smoothly.
8. Uphold and enforce company policies, particularly health & safety and food safety compliance.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
1. SAP Expertise: You know SAP inside out and can work efficiently within it to maintain accurate data and reporting.
2. Food Manufacturing Experience: Familiarity with food production environments is key, along with an understanding of the importance of accurate production data.
3. Eye for Detail: You can spot discrepancies, investigate, and resolve them, ensuring stock records are always precise.
4. Analytical Skills: Able to run system checks, perform root-cause analysis on data integrity issues, and solve them.
5. Excel Savvy: Intermediate level or higher. You know your way around a spreadsheet and can organize, analyze, and report data effectively.
6. Independent Worker: While you’re great in a team, you’re also comfortable working on your own, tackling problems as they arise.
7. Flexible and Supportive Attitude: You’re always open to jumping into new challenges and supporting the team wherever it’s needed.
