Lead Pharmacy Assistant for Patient Services

This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy assistant to join our dynamic, innovative, and friendly team dedicated to improving our services within the pharmacy department. You will work with the dispensary and medicines management teams to help implement, deliver, and continually improve services provided for both in-patients and out-patients. We are looking for someone with experience and a passion for this area of work in hospital pharmacy.
You must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a large multi-disciplinary team. You must also be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills, and committed to continuous professional development.
Main Duties of the Job
The department actively promotes development, education, and training. To apply, you will need to have good GCSEs or equivalent and obtained a full NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent. This is a full-time post, and the post holder will be required to participate in the weekend & bank holiday rota and the late-night duty rota.

Person Specification
Educational/Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent
* Accuracy Checking for Dispensers Qualification or working towards completing the course.
Knowledge and Experience
* Counselling patients on the use of their medications
* Hospital pharmacy experience
* Experience of education and training of pharmacy staff

Salary: £31,081 to £33,665 a year Per Annum Inc HCAS
