Do you want to help shape the next generation of connected embedded devices and solutions? In the Central Technology Systems Group, we have a diverse set of engineers covering all aspects of SoC system architecture.
You will have the opportunity to make high-impact changes daily by solving challenging technical problems in next generation connected embedded devices! You will solve ambitious development work to help kickstart projects, run sophisticated proof-of-concepts, and be a technical leader.
Responsibilities:
1. Engage with engineering leadership and product planning teams to develop technology roadmap.
2. Translate technology requirements into platform architecture, encompassing hardware, software, tools and other components.
3. Work proactively across Arm’s architecture and core technology teams to ensure a roadmap of architecture platforms and technology feature development supporting the needs of Arm based embedded device SoCs.
4. Evaluate architecture proposals, internal and external IP features and provide influential and inspirational leadership across hardware, software, and platform groups to align all parties to a common vision of architecture & technology development.
5. Represent Arm with high technical credibility in customer meetings, appropriately incorporating feedback.
6. Create high level architecture specifications to enable engineering teams to craft and verify platforms addressing the embedded device market segments. These platforms are primarily centered on our Cortex-A CPUs and Mali GPUs, and have other IPs like Cortex-M CPUs in support roles.
7. Design experiments and analyses to answer architectural questions, and invent, develop, or drive the development of simulators, models, profilers, and other methods and tools as necessary to implement the analyses.
8. Communicate results and technical concepts clearly and credibly across audiences ranging from individual hardware or software development engineers to architecture community peers, and to high level technology and business leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
9. Bachelor of Science degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related fields required; MS or PhD advantageous.
10. Proven track record in embedded SoC architectures involving Cortex-M and Cortex-A CPUs, or related work experience.
11. Deep technical background and credibility in the embedded SoC area.
12. Proven track record to drive progress in an ambiguous environment.
13. Collaborative and influential across organisations.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple teams.
