We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Dry Gas Seals Team reporting to the Lead Engineer for Gas Seals. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be developing innovative solutions to customer-specific applications that go beyond the standard dry gas seal product range, support Right First Time (RFT) activities by troubleshooting non-conforming seal designs by analyzing data and the cosmetic appearance of the Dry Gas Seal.
This role is based at our headquarters within Slough, working Monday to Friday during normal office hours. (Hybrid working)

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Prepares and performs specific development programs for customer-driven Dry Gas Sealing applications, including but not limited to development plans, test specifications, design generation, qualification testing, and report generation.
* Provide technical input and guidance to projects regarding the design, performance, procurement, manufacturing, and testing of Dry Gas Sealing products for turbomachinery equipment.
* Create detailed technical presentations to customers to support sales and training initiatives.
* Prepare correspondence and technical engineering reports related to the projects.
* Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce 3D models/assemblies to analyze product performance (i.e., finite element analysis).
* Support RFT activities by troubleshooting problems related to product performance or production difficulties.
* Perform and/or monitor tests to validate actual results against theoretical analysis.
* Independently upskill knowledge on topics related to assigned projects.
Qualifications
* Working knowledge of CAD, 3D modeling & 2D drawing ideally within rotating equipment.
* Strong FEA skills.
* Outstanding creativity, vision, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work hands-on.
* Communication skills to collaborate within the team and provide feedback to stakeholders.
* Ability to self-manage projects ensuring on-time delivery.
