University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us. Please see below for a detailed job description for the role.
Main Duties of the Job
An opportunity has arisen to join our team for a period of at least 12 months, covering maternity leave. We are a friendly, forward-thinking team of audiologists with a focus on quality and continued service improvement and are looking for someone with similar values. The role will focus on assisting in paediatric audiology clinics and providing hearing assessments for adult patients and could be a good fit for someone who wants to develop their paediatric audiology skills.
Job Responsibilities
In this post you'll provide hearing assessment and management for children working alongside a clinical scientist or specialist audiologist. You will also provide support for our ENT clinics, relevant reports based on your findings to medical and other professionals, make onward referrals as appropriate, and liaise with other teams to ensure the best care for our patients. You may also have the opportunity to participate in some research and service development.
Experience and Skills
You will be able to perform audiometry to a high standard on adults and school-age children. You will have some experience of paediatric audiology, but further training can be provided for the right candidate. Our clinics take place across a number of different sites, so you will need to be able to travel independently to locations in Southampton and the surrounding area.
