Living at Showell Court allows you to have your own front door in a private and self-contained apartment with a variety of facilities on your door step. We offer both long and short term stays. Palliative Care Assistant role: Palliative and end of life care is very important and the overriding aim of this role is to offer patients receiving palliative care, or patients approaching End of Life, and their carers, non- clinical support that, in conjunction with other services enables these patients to remain in their home if that is their preferred place of care and death The successful candidate will need to have a driving licence and access to their own transport As Palliative Care Assistant, you will ideally have: Experience working within a Care environment (Advantageous but not essential as full induction training will be given) Previous experience working with end of life care A warm hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness and good communication, a willingness to help others, requiring patience An open and honest character, respectful and celebrate diversity, connect with colleagues and residents to celebrate uniqueness The ability to be a natural care giver and someone who can communicate in an open and honest manner with your colleagues, residents and their visitors The GSA Way We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do.
